Hello everybody!

How are you? I am writing from Malaysia, and about to start the second official practice sessions of the pre-season. We really are dying to get down to work and I feel really good, above all thanks to the physical work we have been doing the last few weeks. These next test sessions are going to help us check to see whether we are working along the right lines.

I took advantage of the last practice in Sepang to test, above all some new parts, but now we are going to concentrate on the overall development of the bike and to find some positive sensations. I am spending a lot of time with the team and I am now closer to each and every one of them. As well as being some great professionals, they all try to make the work easier for everybody else and we really do appreciate that. After work we go out together to get something to eat, like we did yesterday and even today. We are a great bunch and a great team and that is very important!

And we can`t complain because when we came to Malaysia we almost missed the plane! We were delayed by the heavy snow that there has been all over Europe and when we changed planes we only just caught the connecting flight. At least in the end it all turned out all right and we got here without too many problems.

In general, and especially during the pre-season, we do not have time for sight-seeing. And there is no time to get over the jet lag or get used to the weather either. I would like to visit some places close by, but we do not have a second to spare. The only time we have a little time to ourselves is when we do the Asian part of the calendar towards the end of the season, when we are in Malaysia, Australia and Japan we can do a little sight-seeing.

As for the food here, they use a lot of very different sauces and with a very particular style; but we have to follow our own diet that is prepared for us, it is very important that we take good care of ourselves, like all sportsmen. We can`t complain because the chef looks after us very well!

Greetings to you all from Sepang,
Dani.
