Saturday was a demanding experience for the Leopard Racing team at the Termas de Rio Hondo track. With temperatures slightly cooler than yesterday and the track in a better conditions with more rubber down from early Free Practice sessions, the afternoon hosting the second Qualifying session of the season.

Joan Mir was the best of the team, the rookie from Palma de Mallorca will depart from the second row of the grid thanks to an incredible 1’50.342, just half a second back on poleman Binder. The Spaniard worked hard to improve his feeling with the brakes and worked on changing direction on the bike, continuing his apprenticeship on the world stage.

#36 Joan MIR – 5th (1’50.342):
“They have been two positives days, yesterday we ended up progressing and adapting to the new track. We start in fifth position and it’s a great place to start the race. But the race is different, a single lap is relatively easy but it’s difficult to keep a good pace but I think we can do it. I would like to thank the team for their hard work.”
