“It has been a very difficult weekend and I think the Grands Prix like this benefit us, because for the moment I have managed to finish them on the podium. I was down as low as twenty-second, because at first I didn’t want to risk anything -many riders take many risks trying to gain a lot of positions in a short time. As soon as I started to brake later and warm the tyres up, I started to feel comfortable pass people. I was twelfth and had the first group three and a half seconds away, so I decided to risk a little to reach them; in that position I would have taken very few points and, if I crashed, the difference would be very little. I was able to reach them, but the four in front had broken way from the group and opened a gap. I took more risks to get onto the podium and I rode at the limit to secure the position. I am very happy and this podium feels like a victory.”
