Seventh row for Albert Arenas

The Mahindra Gaviota Aspar Team will start from the seventh row of the grid in the Moto3 race at the Austrian Grand Prix.  Albert Arenas, twentieth, completed a session in which up to twenty-two riders qualified within a second of Gabriel Rodrigo’s pole time.

Arenas, who comes fresh from making up twenty positions in the race at Brno last Sunday, achieved his best time on race tyres and is feeling positive about tomorrow.

20th Albert Arenas 1:37.348 (15 laps):

“We have been able to work quite well from the first practice and we have made changes in the chassis which have improved my feeling, but still some details need to be polished. In qualifying I pushed to the maximum. We were within half a second, but in the end we finished 0.8 back on a race tee that already quite a few laps on it. We are far from the top positions but we will see what we can do tomorrow. The important thing is that we have worked well and we have given everything.”
