Czech GP, Brno – 250cc – Bautista Snatches Excellent 2nd Place

What an excellent race from Alvaro today; a superb run from a lowly 10th on the grid to finish second, snatching the position in a nail-biting final lap move that dropped Simoncelli from 1st to 3rd.
Debon and Simoncelli spent most of the race swapping the lead, and there’s no doubt that towards the end Debon was clearly trying to hold Bati off from Simoncelli (“team” orders of sorts I guess…)
Still – given the unpredictability of the weekend, it was a great result – a superb balls-out ride and one that was a heart-thumping pleasure to watch.
(*Although the result now puts Alvaro back to 4th from 3rd in the championship overall, it DOES actually simultaneously reduce his gap to Kallio and Simoncelli.)
