Repsol And Honda Extend Deal
The Honda Racing Corporation has announced a single-year renewal of its historic title sponsorship deal with Spanish company Repsol.
The oil giant, whose name has graced the factory Honda liveries since 1995, has extended the agreement with the Japanese manufacturer only to the end of the 2010 season, to interestingly coincide with Dani Pedrosa’s end of contract with Honda.
“I am very pleased that Repsol and HRC will once again be joining forces for the 2010 season,” commented HRC president Tetsuo Suzuki. “In the last 15 years we have achieved many great accomplishments in the world’s premier motorcycle racing series by fighting together with Repsol as our trusted and reliable partner.
“In recent times, we have missed out on the goal we always set ourselves: winning the World Championship. However, next season, the Repsol Honda Team will fight to retake the World title with renewed energy and total determination.”
