 In News

The second day of testing for the Moto2 and 125cc riders at Montmeló ended with Bancaja Aspar rider Nico Terol the quickest, with a best time of 1’53.2 from a total of 50 laps.
The Spanish rider was marginally faster than team-mate Bradley Smith, who rode his Aprilia for the first time in three months and enjoyed regaining the feeling of his machine. The World title contender for 2010 was very content with the 54 laps he recorded, with a best time of 1’53.8.

In addition to Smith and Terol, the Bainet Derbi pairing of Pol Espargaró and Efrén Vázquez were also riding, and they were fractionally slower than Terol – Vazquez by 0.3s and Espargaró by 0.4s.

Esteve Rabat of Blusens-STX made a 1’53.9 as he timed in just behind Smith, and Marc Márquez (Red Bull Ajo Motorsport) recovered from a crash earlier in the day to make a time of 1’54.0, whilst Niklas Ajo also fell. Vázquez was added to that list in the afternoon and there no serious consequences for all riders.
Alberto Moncayo of the Andalucia Cajasol team completed the 125cc World Championship riders present, with a time of 1’54.8.
