Second examination shows cracked vertebra for Carmelo Morales

 In JuniorGP, Moto2, News

After the horrific crash at the Catalunya GP two weeks ago, then replacement rider Carmelo Morales was initially deemed to be okay apart from some bruising and a burn on his left shoulder. But after racing in the Spanish Championship at Aragon last weekend he still suffered from severe backaches which caused him to consult a doctor again. Further examination now revealed that Morales actually cracked a vertebra, between T8 and T9, so he will now have to rest for several weeks and also wear a brace to recover in time for the next round of the Spanish Championship.

We’d like to wish Carmelo all the best and hope he recovers soon.
