After the bad result in the difficult Japanese Grand Prix weekend where the Pramac Racing Team riders have finished the race in the last and second last position, the team is already reached with another possibility of redemption at the Malaysian circuit of Sepang. The Malaysian track, just outside Kuala Lumpur, where the 15th race of the season will take place on Sunday, has become a fixed stage in the MotoGP Championship. It will be 12th consecutive Grand Prix on this circuit. The Pramac Racing Team had good results in the past on this circuit having achieved two podiums at the start of their motorcycle career. Iin 2003 with Max Biaggi and Barros in 2004. These results have unfortunately not been matched in recent years. The 10th position by Mika Kallio last year is the best result for the team in recent years. Aleix had on this track a quite good fifth place in 2008 while he was riding a 250cc machine and last year he finished his race in 11th position. Also from the young Spaniard there’s a significant improvement expected on the Malaysian track.

Paolo Campinoti – Team Principal Pramac Racing Team
“I cannot hide my disappointment for the bad Motegi result, we had high expectations for that race, but unfortunately it has been a complete desaster. On Friday we found some stability problems and not good feeling with the bike for both riders which did not allow us to be fast as our rivals. The gap of almost a second in every lap didn’t allow us to fight for a better result. But we must immediately leave the bad weekend behind us and focus on the next Malaysian Grand Prix. In the past we had some success on this track where we had a podium position twice with Biaggi and Tamada. The hope is that both riders can be able to redeem themselves in the best way after the Japan race and become involved in a great fight. The goal is to have both riders in the Top 10.”

Aleix Espargarò – Pramac Racing Team
“What can I say, the result at Motegi was not good. Unfortunately I had some problems with my forearm which is still not in perfect condition after the crash in Aragon. I hope I can be in good shape in Sepang where I had the possibility to ride my bike during last year’s race and during the winter tests we had here. I will have to further improve my feeling, but I have a bit of information which I will use to work hard and fight for the top ten positions. ”
