Barbera looking forward to “another Spanish round” at Estoril

A frentetic finale to the MotoGP season is reaching its end, with the fourth and fifth races in just six weeks due to take place over the next two weekends. The 2010 season is almost over and with the riders having just about recovered from their intercontinental triple header the series returns to Europe for back to back races in Portugal and Spain. The MotoGP title was already decided in Malaysia in favour of Jorge Lorenzo but his compatriot Dani Pedrosa is waiting in the wings to wrap up the runner-up spot and make it a Spanish championship one-two.

Páginas Amarillas Aspar rider Héctor Barberá has spent the last week at home resting following a three-week journey around the world that saw him struggle to match the good form he showed at the midway point of the season. Héctor is determined to turn his luck around in the two remaining races and finish the year on a high. Estoril is a circuit that suits his riding style and he has good memories there, having taken 125cc victory in 2004.

Héctor Barberá: “On one hand I was looking forward to getting home because it is tough to be away for a month but on the other hand you are with friends, doing what you love and enjoying yourself. Since I got back I have been thinking about the next Grand Prix in Portugal. It is practically another Spanish round because so many of our fans go there. I always enjoy riding at Estoril and I won the 125cc race there back in 2004 so I think I can do well this weekend. A lot of the characteristics of the circuit are suited to my riding style and I am convinced I can be fast there on the the Ducati.”
