Aspar Team confirms newcomer Xavi Forés and returnee Héctor Faubel as 2011 rider

After several weeks of conversations, the Aspar Team has finishe the negotiations with Xavi Forés and Héctor Faubel and that both Valencian riders will be united in the team next season.
Líria native Faubel returns to the team with which he achieved his most success three years ago and also returns to th 125cc class. A risky decision, but the Aspar Team is convinced that Héctor has the potential potential to be one of the main protagonists of the 125cc class in 2011. Therefore, the Bancaja Aspar Team will put give him the best material to compete with, so that he can try to fight for the title alongside Nico Terol.
Equally, the MAPFRE Aspar Team will have complete faith in the abilities of Xavi Forés, a young rider who next year will confront his first complete season in the Moto2 championship. The rider from Llombay will have the best support, an experienced equipment and Julian Simón as his teammate. Factors more than sufficient to make big steps once the 2011 sees the light in Qatar.
With today’s confirmation of the riders, the Aspar Team will have two Valencian riders in 125cc (Nico Terol and Héctor Faubel), one in Moto2 (Xavi Forés) and another one in MotoGP (Héctor Barbera).

Jorge Martinez: “It is an enormous satisfaction to be able to complete the Aspar Team with two Valencian riders, from our home. Xavi Forés is a young rider who can have much success in Moto2. It will be his first complete year in the world championship and we will have to work hard, but we believe in him. Xavi and Julito can give good results to the MAPFRE Aspar Team next year. Also, the return of Héctor Faubel to the Bancaja Aspar Team demonstrates that the riders who have been with us always have been very satisfied. I am proud that he has returned, we hope that he fights with Nico for the title”.

Héctor Faubel: “It is a very happy day for me, because I return to the team where I had all my successes. I know the technicians, the team and the category. I return with high motivation and convinced that I can be strong in 125cc, I am going to go fight for the maximum. From now on I will put myself to training to lose weight and to return completely fit to compete in 125cc. Also I will ride again with two-stroke bikes. We have all the winter ahead to prepare and to arrive at Qatar in the best form”.

Xavi Forés: “I am very satisfied, because I hoped to move up to the Moto2 world championship. This year has been very positive for me. What better way to go to the world championship than with a Valencian team like the Aspar Team. I know the majority of its members and I have a very good relation with Julito. I confront this new season with high hopes. I want to thank Jorge for the opportunity that he is offering me, I hope to repay him with good results.”
