Tough but productive day of testing for Espargaro & Pons

Aleix Espargaro and Axel Pons returned to work today with the weather conditions at the Jerez circuit improving from yesterday. Both riders were able to do some miles on the new Pons Kalex machine. Both Espargaro and Pons had a very good feeling from the first laps on and were able to work on a good setup.

Axel Pons. (1.44.7′): “Today didn’t have an easy day of testing. We came here after using Michelin tires for two races and now we returned to the bike setting that we had to use the Dunlop. I liked the new chassis a lot and we have been working all day to get a good setup. During the day we went quicker and quicker and in the end I felt quite comfortable with setting of the bike. We will continue working in the coming tests to get the best setup for the next season.”

Aleix Espargaró. (1.44.5′): “I am satisfied, because we solved the problems we had in the front part of the bike at the Valencia test. I had very a good feeling with the new chassis which makes me leave this test in high spirits. We still have to get a little more grip in the front, but the most important is that I like the bike a lot and I feel that it’s not taking me too much to adapt to the Pons Kalex.”
