World Champion Marquez starts training for driving license
Marc Marquez, current 125cc world champion at only 17 years of age, will start a new challenge in the Moto2 class this year while preparing for his driving license outside the race circuits.
The Spanish youngster used the winter break to prepare for his driving license at the RACC in his home town Cervera. Starting in December he currently attends the lectures and practices and plans to pass the exam in February while his first driving lession attracted many local media representatives
Marc Márquez: “The competition is very important to me, but outside of the circuits It’s essential to have a good education and therefore it is necessary to go to driving school, get familiar with the traffic rules and drive safely. The risk of an accident is many times greater on the road than on the racetrack.”
Marquez will be back on track next week for the first Moto2 test of 2011 at Valencia.
