Aspar Team presents brandnew livery with new main sponsor
In between the kerfuffle of several 125cc and Moto2 teams presenting their 2011 lineups and new livery in recent days, the Aspar Team also showed off a brandnew and very different new look at the official IRTA test in Jerez today.
Previous main sponsor Bancaja – repsonsible for the blue of the Aspar bikes we’ve been used to in recent years – has been merged with several other banks to one main brand name, Bankia. The new name and design was only presented two days ago which also made the subsequent re-design of the Aspar livery a bit of a surprise.
Aspar riders Nico Terol, Hector Faubel and Adrian Martin will run the design of lime green and brown throughout the 2011 season and do their best to have the Aspar team again challenge for the title.
Jorge Martinez ‘Aspar’: “I believe that this fusion is solid and the result of it is very positive and interesting, not only for the parties involved, but also for its 12 million customers and potential customers. It’s an honour for the Aspar Team to have the support of an organization like Bankia, we’e doing well in the world championship for a long time now and our goal is to continue delivering success to our sponsors. I like both the name and the corporate colors and I think the visual result of the 125cc bike defines our leadership spirit.”
