Clutch problem hampers Cardus’ progress at Qatar

 In Moto2, News

QMMF Racing Team riders Mishel Al Naimi and Nasser al Malki made steady progress on the second day of practice for their home Grand Prix on the 5.380 kilometre Losail circuit. But teammate Ricky Cardús suffered a slight set-back in the only session on Friday. A clutch problem cost him valuable track time, and in the end he slipped from 15th to 21st on the time sheets.

Ricard Cardus (21 º in 2.03,185)
“Yesterday I set a good laptime despite having some little problems. Today we tried to solve them and quickly found another with the clutch and we lost a lot of time. I couldn’t establish a consistent ryhthm and so I lost positions on the timesheet. I’m disappointed, instead of improving we now encountered a bigger problem. Tomorrow I hope to do well.
