Gadea and Vinales looking to fight for top positions at home track

The Blusens riders Sergio Gadea and Maverick Vinales of the Paris Hilton Racing Team are already in Jerez, prepared to fight as good as in Losail to try and repeat or even improve the results from two weeks ago.

Sergio Gadea has a return to the podium firmly set as his goal for the weekend while Maverick Vinales trusts in the excellent performances he’s shown during the preseason to be one of the candidates for top positions.

Sergio Gadea: “As always we arrive at Jerez with great motivation and especially after the success of Qatar. Mentally I’m very strong because the podium was very positive and important for us and to race at home in front of our fans also helps. What I expect from this Grand Prix is that we are able to improve on the mistakes we made ​​in Losail, we are not at 100%, and take the step forward that allows us to be more competitive. Overall we’re still not at the maximum, because I still have some Moto2 habits, but the positive of it is that in the previous GP I realized what they were. The goal is to be up there, but we are working to win and I’ll give my very best to achieve that. This is a track I like a lot because it is super fast but also has some tight corners and is very fun, especially with the fans who always come here. Here I’ve already been on the podium before and last year in Moto2 I did pretty good. The mindset and the setup of the bike will be important to achieve the result we’re looking for.”

Maverick Viñales: “I am really motivated, because this is the first home Grand Prix in Spain, but like in Qatar our goal is to fight against ourselves and give the maximum in every practice to get a good setup and a good position on the grid. The result if we do the work well will be a good result. I love this circuit and it works very well with my riding style, a good example of this is that in the CEV I won a race here in June 2009 and last year I’ve been on the podium twice. This, plus knowing the layout of the track perfectly and having been among the best in the three days of testing here in early March, gives me great confidence to have a good weekend.”
