125cc returnees Sergio Gadea and Hector Faubel have both recently struck up new sponsorship deals with bike manufacturer Specialized.

Gadea was presented at the Spanish Grand Prix in Jerez with his new Tarmac SL3 Pro bike, plus helmet and shoes to be used for his fitness training with Sweat Equity Fitness and preparation. It’s his first ever road bike after previously training with mountainbikes only. With the best fitness equipment he will now change up his fitness routine with his trainer.

Sergio Gadea: “Until now I used to ride mountainbikes trails, sometimes up to 85 km and five hours on the bike, but I really wanted to ride on the road, I think I’ll like it.”

His former teammate Hector Faubel now also joined the Californian bicycle brand which will supply him with all the equipment he needs to train his fitness properly between races.

Faubel visited V. Ferrer Bikes, a Specialized Concept Store in Valencia, together with his manager Donís Martí who commented on the great love for cycling many of the members of the Aspar team have. He also received a Tarmac SL3 Pro bike for training, a S-Works Prevail helmet and Pro Road bike shoes.

Both Gadea and Faubel will be displaying the Specialized logo on the side of their helmets at the next Grand Prix in Estoril, joining fellow countryman and current MotoGP rider Toni Elias.
