Crash victim Cardus battles on to take 28th at Sachsenring

Just finishing the German Grand Prix on the Sachsenring was a tough battle for the riders of Team QMMF Racing. 23-year-old Spaniard Ricky Cardús got innocently involved in the crash of Julian Simón and went down as well. He re-started the race in dead-last position and battled on to take 28th position.

Ricky Cardús – 28º: “I was involved in an incident at the first corner. I crashed behind Simon and in the gravel it is difficult to lift up the bike quickly. I lost a lot of time returning to the track on my own. When you ride alone you do not have the same feeling and the same push as when you’re in a group, so it was not easy to find a rhythm and close up on the others. The good thing is that I finished the race and collected valuable information we need and which is essential for us.”
