The Difisa Racing team, together with PCR Sport, will race at the 24 Hours of Barcelona with Jorge Lorenzo at the wheel.
The Spanish rider already achieved second place in the 500 km of Alcañiz last year, driving the Abarth 500 Assetto Corse ENDURANCE, prepared by Difisa Racing, in his second car race.

Lorenzo won’t be the only motorcylce racer in the 24 Hours of Barcelona as his good friend Ricky Cardus will be in the team with him. Together with Álvaro Fontes and Jose Manuel de los Milagros they will share the steering wheel of the Leon Supercopa in shifts of two hours each. On September 10th, in his first contact with the new car, Lorenzo, Fontes and de los Milagros won the 2 Hour Endurance Race of Montmeló, scoring points for the CER – Copa de España de Resistencia.

The 14th edition of the 24 Hours of Barcelona will take place between 12:00 on Saturday, September 24th, and 12:00 on Sunday the 25th. The 2011 edition will be the first in which besides touring cars there will also be a GT category.

Jorge Lorenzo: “I think within 24 hours the team and stops are even more important than the drivers. All together we have to do a good job and enjoy it, because it is a beautiful race. At the end the consistent ones and drivers who think in the car are the ones who usually get good results.”
