Moncayo still sees big margin to improve after starting fifth-fastest
The Cadiz team led by Pedro Machado has made its first practice today at the Motegi circuit. Alberto Moncayo, who is eager to do his best on the circuit where he scored his best result last season, started this Grand Prix with fifth place in practice, but he is sure he still has a big margin for improvement, therefore he hopes to make a good leap forward in qualifying tomorrow.
Alberto Moncayo, 5º: “I had a pretty good feeling in free practice. We tested some things from the setup we used last season, but they didn’t work very well. We also have to keep in mind that we had a bit of wind and we could not improve on that way, so we tried other solutions and achieved a lot. We know there is much room for improvement and we must continue fighting hard, because I’m sure all the riders will improve their laptimes a lot and we have to be there. The weather is unsettled and we have to see how the day goes tomorrow, but whatever it is, we will have to go to work and make the most of it.”
