Vazquez fights the pain to qualify for second row at Motegi

 In News

Ajo Motorsport’s Efren Vazquez complemented the success of his team – teammate Johann Zarco took pole – by qualifying sixth for the Japanese Grand Prix at Motegi.
Vazquez was 1.114 seconds behind Zarco and will start Sunday’s race from the second row. Vazquez performed well, considering he fell hard in Friday’s second practice and hurt his back.

Efren Vazquez: “Luckily the X-ray that was done at the Motegi hospital did not show any serious damage. But the pain in my back and neck is strong and I get tired quite easily. We´ll see how I can manage the 20 laps race.”
