Vazquez starting from second row and pleased with bike feeling

 In News

The Ajo Motorsport Team did a great job today with Johann Zarco taking his second consecutive pole position and teammate Efren Vazquez starting the Australian Grand Prix at Phillip Island from second row on the grid, finishing the qualifying in sixth with a gap of 1.065 seconds to Zarco.

Vazquez’s team has worked hard with the adjustments of the bike’s frame and that work really paid off during qualifying, leaving both Vazquez and team boss Aki Ajo very pleased and looking forward to a good race tomorrow.

Aki Ajo: “Pretty good qualifying and I am confident for the race if the weather stays dry. The forecasts predict rain during the night and if we have a wet race it will be quite a lottery at this windy circuit.”

Efren Vazquez: “I am pleased with the bike and I know I can do even better”
