Unlucky Rabat out of the race after touch with another rider destroys brake
The final round of this year’s Moto2 championship got underway in adverse weather conditions and with the track in a very delicate state, although it didn’t rain at that time, at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit today.
Tito Rabat did a good first lap, but was quickly out of the competition when another rider touched him and hit the brake lever. After a stop in the box to try to repair it Tito had to retire from the race.
34 TITO RABAT (DNF): “Of course I’m not happy. I did not expect to finish the season like that. There’s not much to tell. I started well and was within the top ten, but a rider has hit my brake lever and I could not do any more. I came into the pits where we tried repairing it and I tried it again on track, but I couldn’t brake. Nevertheless, I managed to finish tenth overall. Next year more.”
