Rodriguez starts his racing comeback with good progress

 In Moto2, News

Angel Rodriguez’ return to the world of racing so far can wholeheartedly be described as successful. The 26-year-old has shown consistent progress during the first days of testing for the 2012 season and finished the second day at Valencia as the fastest Spaniard.

On the last day he took his new FTR bike out on track around midday and clocked a fastest time of 1.36.5 after 50 laps, fulfilling all expectations so far and setting his sights even higher. His progress after two years away from racing has been good and he gets along well with his new team.

Angel commented that he feels very comfortable with his new bike after not riding for a long time, which is always notable when getting back on the bike. He believes the FTR has a lot of potential and he and the team are working very hard to be ahead and prove themselves.

The rider from Elche and his Stop and Go Racing Team will be back on track at Jerez next week for the second test of the 2012 preseason.
