Recovering from the fever that had plaqued him yesterday and forced him to end his day early, Aspar rider Aleix Espargaró returned to work for the second day of testing at Jerez although he struggled to find his rhythm today. He unsuccessfully tried to get more confidence with the front part of the bike and crashed twice in the course of the day, in turn one and two, but fortunately without any serious consequences. But far from giving up, the Catalan will be out on track fully motivated again tomrrow to find new solutions for the chassis.

Aleix Espargaró 1.42.60 (44 laps): “Yesterday I took something to reduce the fever and I slept for twelve hours, so today I feel better. This morning we set out for work, but to be honest today I didn’t feel as comfortable as I felt in the last test we did at Valencia. We worked a lot on the geometry of the bike to gain more confidence with the front. I couldn’t enter or go fast through the corners. But still we haven’t lost our spirit and we tested a lot of things for the chassis and the suspension as well as others for the engine. I crashed twice, exactly because of that lack of feeling, but we could continue working normally. Today things didn’t go as we’d have liked, but we won’t give up because of that, tomorrow we’ll continue working to try and improve.”
