Rodriguez not satisfied with race performance and hoping for change of fortune in Le Mans

The Grand Prix of Portugal finally saw three days of suitable weather to host the third round of the world championship.

Spaniard Ángel Rodríguez started the day with a good feeling after finishing the warm up with his best laptime of the weekend. So the Desguaces La Torre SAG Team rider started a race in which recovering positions was the only aim and with a good start in which he already passed four riders in one go, he went on to fight for the top 20 positions which finally escaped him in the last minute of the race. Ángel eventually crossed the line in 22nd position, a result which is not satisfactory for him, so he’s already having one eye on Le Mans.

22.ÁNGEL RODRÍGUEZ (DESGUACES LA TORRE SAG TEAM // FTR), 44’58.616:
“The overall rating of the weekend, a 4, we can’t be happy with. We started very well, but after the crash the performance of the bike dropped considerably and this showed in the results. Today in the race I improved my laptimes, but it wasn’t enough to get points. I hope things change for Le Mans, because if not we’ll have it very difficult to achieve our goal.”
