Rodriguez makes great start to French Grand Prix with new Bimota
Things have started very well for the Desguaces La Torre – SAG Team in Le Mans, starting the French Grand Prix with a 16th place from Ángel Rodríguez on the Bimota HB4 2012.
Ángel Rodríguez rode the Bimota HB4 2012 for the first time and the result shows that his adaptation to the bike was instantaneous, with Rodri being able to confirm his good feeling with his best laptime of the day which put him 1.2 seconds behind the leaders of the practice. Still, both the team and the rider remain cautious as the weather forecast shows that it might be wet for the rest of the weekend.
16.ÁNGEL RODRÍGUEZ (DESGUACES LA TORRE SAG TEAM // BIMOTA), 1’39.114:
“Today we made an important step towards our goal, we found the way to follow very quickly, my feeling on the bike is good and now I feel it much better and can play more with its limits. I think we need to improve in the setting of the front suspension for me to feel it a little better and improve some tenths which will be important tomorrow. The laptimes are very tight in qualifying and one tenth can move you many positions up or down the order.”
