Marc Marquez Blog, Le Mans: Looking forward

 In Blog, Moto2, News

Hello everybody,

I am now at home after the French GP. It was not the best Sunday because of the race result. Practice went quite well, in both the wet and dry, Friday as well as Saturday. I felt some great sensations and that is why we managed to start in pole position. But you all know that races are a different matter. I fell down the field a bit, I fell into a pretty big group and it took me some time to pick up the pace I had had in practice. When I finally began to move up the field I made a mistake that stopped me from getting a point or two. But we can´t look to the past. You all know what can happen in a wet race.

Now the title fight is even more exciting, with three riders separated by just three points. Last year I picked up my first points at Le Mans and this was the first time that I have left there empty-handed. After the race the whole team travelled to Paris, a very long trip because of the rain and the amount of traffic. There had been quite a long bank holiday weekend, so it took us almost 4 hours to get to the hotel from Orly airport.

Now I am going to think about the race in Montmeló, my home race. But before that I will also be enjoying the third round of the CEV, where my brother Alex races.

Thanks for all your messages and support even when things do not go so well

Marc
