Rodriguez staying positive despite struggling with lack of top speed

 In Moto2, News

The Gran Premi Aperol de Catalunya started today with the first two practice sessions which the Desguaces La Torre – SAG Team riders finished highly motivated ahead of tomorrow’s qualifying session, despite their not too impressive results today.

Spaniard Ángel Rodríguez had a difficult day in which his main handicap was the bike which only had a very low top speed compared to the front riders, a fact which hampered him in trying to achieve the intended results. In spite of this uphill struggle on the first day, Rodri is feeling positive for the second day of the Grand Prix, making sure that the work in the box and on the track is going in the right direction to achieve his results no matter what.

29.ÁNGEL RODRÍGUEZ (DESGUACES LA TORRE SAG TEAM // BIMOTA), 1’49.649:
“We had a rather difficult day today, the bike didn’t give us enough top speed which is necessary to get a good laptime. The team is working hard to solve this problem and this motivates me, in fact I believe that tomorrow we’ll turn this around and start to achieve our intended results.”
