Continuous chatter problems bring Silva’s setup progress to a halt
So far it seems that riding at home means absolutely no advantage for the Avintia Blusens team. Despite being at a track they know well and where their riders feel very good, the chattering issues on the front didn’t allow them to ride at the desired pace and show their true potential. Ivan Silva, who had various problems which forced him to change the bike during the qualifying session, wasn’t able get past 21st position.
The weather forecasts show the possibility of rain for tomorrow. Maybe the Avintia Blusens riders can profit from the wet element.
22 Iván Silva (21º 1.45.962): “We had problems with chattering throughout the whole weekend and it didn’t allow us to progress like we expected. It’s true that we did improve the bouncing of the front tyre as well as the laptimes a little bit, but not enough. In reality these have been very small steps. We continnue without having confidence in the front and this is something that makes it very difficult for us to be competitive. The team is working at the maximum and tomorrow we’ll start the race with the intention to do very well. It’s my favourite track and I’m with my people and the home fans. In these moments it’s difficult to think of great results, but I hope to do a good race, because we all deserve some joy.”
