Rodriguez hoping to quickly adapt to unknown Silverstone circuit and aiming for points
The Moto2 championship moves to Great Britain this weekend, which since last year after the races were previously held at Donington Park, welcomes the riders at the remodeled Silverstone circuit.
For Desguaces La Torre SAG Team rider Ángel Rodríguez, the race in England will be a challenge in which his main goal will be to overcome the barrier of 20th position which he’s been struggling with since the beginning of the year, to reach the group of riders fighting for points and make his mark in the championship standings. Rodri knows that in order to achieve this, he has to quickly adapt to a track he doesn’t know and get a bit more out of the potential of his Bimota HB4.
ÁNGEL RODRÍGUEZ (DESGUACES LA TORRE SAG TEAM // BIMOTA):
“The bar is set very high in Moto2, among the first 15 positions the level is very high and among the 15 behind them it’s a savage war for points. We go to Silverstone with a handicap which we have to solve in the first free practice at the latest, I’ve already tried to memorize the layout, but this has to be done on location to get to know each and every one of the reference of the circuit. Furthermore, I have to squeeze the most out of the Bimota to start getting the results we can be proud of. The team is amazing and together we can achieve what we all want.”
