Marc Marquez Blog, British Grand Prix: Saving face
We had a complicated weekend in the UK. The truth is that bearing in mind how things went in practice on Friday and Saturday yesterday`s result was a good one.
On Sunday morning in the warm-up we got a bit of improvement, but even so things were not going my way. In the race I really had to keep total concentration to try and save the GP, that is getting as many points as possible. And we managed to finish on the podium, that is why we left the UK quite satisfied. We won 16 points and all the plaudits should go to the team as they all worked hard for many hours, they finished very late on Saturday night. Thanks to them we got this podium.
It is true that with Iannone, Redding and myself caught up together we helped Pol to get away from us a little. Each race turns out to be different but the points we picked up will be very important.
Now I have to try and disconnect and regain my strength because we now have three back to back races and you have to be in really good shape to tackle something like that. And in addition to training this week I will also have to find time to watch my brother Alex in the CEV.
Regards!
Marc
