Rosell improves again but looking for more in coming races
QMMF Racing Team riders Anthony West and Elena Rosell scored 21st and 25th place in the Moto2 Grand Prix of Assen, but even though this meant a solid result which was much stronger than their practice positions, both West and Rosell were far from satisfied. After encouraging results in the first free practice sessions with an updated version of his Moriwaki chassis, West lost the feeling for his bike and the direction with the set-up when he got hit and taken out by another rider in qualifying. He still struggled in the race and now hopes to find back on track at the next Grand Prix in Germany. Elena Rosell was determined to put up a fight and managed to hang on to her immediate rivals for almost half of the race, but finally took it easier, settling for a safe race finish rather than risking another crash.
Elena Rosell – 25th place “After all our problems in practice, we didn’t have the best possible set-up in the race and it was tough trying to follow the others. I managed to put up a fight with my rivals on the first ten laps, but the biggest battle was to avoid a crash. Falling would have been the easiest thing that could have happened to me, so I settled for a rhythm that would allow me to finish the race and to safely arrive at the next race in Germany. Now I want to focus on the German Grand Prix without looking back, except for analyzing our data in order to learn and improve!”
