Rosell plays it safe to finish Brno race and grow confidence with new bike

Even though 19th place for Anthony West and 27th position for Elena Rosell were still not the results QMMF Racing Team is aiming at in the World Championship, The Czech Grand Prix at Brno still ended on a positive note. Both riders made a lot of progress with the set-up of their new Speed Up prototypes. West tried a revised tank position in order to get more weight on the front and will no also try to adjust his riding style in order to get a better feel for the front end. Rosell managed to put up a fight in the earlier stages of the race, but then ran into front end chattering problems and preferred a safe race finish to taking unnecessary risks.

Elena Rosell – 27th “There were a few races that I didn’t finish, either because of crashing or because of my physical condition and therefore it was good to make it to the chequered flag today. I was even at a point in the race where I was able to ride and fight with Granado, the guy that finished ahead of me. But in the last five laps, I got some chattering on the front and I had the choice to either take a few risks or to take it easy. I decided for the second option, because I didn’t want to give the mechanics even more work than they already had this weekend and I didn’t want to hurt my own growing confidence to my new bike with another rash. Our goal now is to make progress in the remaining races of the season and to move up in the classification because we are far from where we should be!”
