Spaniard Josep Rodriguez will ride for the MOTO FGR team in the last four races of the season, taking the start number 28.

In an official press release published today the team stated: “The team has decided to cease cooperation with Dutch rider Jasper Iwema after the 13th race of the season at Aragon. The reasons for that do not need to be restated. We hope that new rider Josep Rodriguez, now officially confirmed by IRTA, will help the team to again have some wind in the sails. This championship requires a lot of effort, talent and money to compete on motorcycles.”

The 18-year-old Spaniard previously had a total of 11 starts in the Grand Prix, the most last year with eight when he started as a wild card with Wild Wolf-RACC-MS in Jerez (15th) and Catalunya (23rd) and later took over as a substitute rider for the Andalucia Bank Civica team at Assen (21st). He finished the season competing the last five races in the Blusens by Paris Hilton Racing team as a replacement for Sergio Gadea and in Sepang he scored two championship points as he finished in 14th position.
