Salom struggles in rain-affected first day in Malaysia

Raindrops stopped the second free practice for Moto3 in Sepang with still ten minutes to go. It didn’t matter much for the RW Racing GP riders – especially the struggling Luis Salom.

Luis had a difficult session. Already in his fourth lap (out of ten) he set his fastest time of the day. At the time he set it, ten minutes into the practice session, it was the fastest lap but Salom had dropped to 8 by the time it started to rain.

Luis Salom (8th):
“We have a problem with the setup of the bike. Therefore I didn’t have a good feeling and couldn’t push the bike the way I wanted to. We know what direction we have to go to solve it. I’m sure it will be much better tomorrow.”
