Silva continues to collect points on Phillip Island debut

Iván Silva brought home one point at the GP of Australia despite being new to the beautiful but difficult circuit on Phillip Island. Silva, who could not finish the previous race in Sepang, did cross the finish line in Australia as 15th and therefore gained another point to add to his personal and the team’s tally.

Starting from far back, Iván had a tough fight with Rolfo, riding at a good pace but without being able to improve his position further.

We finished the race and we got into the points. These two things were part of the objectives for this GP. It’s not been easy because this is a difficult track despite being very nice. I was fighting with Rolfo for pretty much the whole race and in the end I made it into the points. I would have loved to finish a bit higher up but at least I could give one point to the team, which, after all their work, is the minimum they deserved. In Valencia I hope I can improve and make it a joyful end to the year for everyone.
