Marc Marquez arrives home to hero’s welcome

Repsol rider Marc Márquez is now home. The new World Champion of the intermediate class arrived this morning at Barcelona – El Prat Airport from Australia, where last Sunday he won the Moto2 title. A massive welcoming, led by his mother Roser, his grandfather and his Fan Club members, awaited Márquez in arrivals, where he received a standing ovation. After the initial hugs, congratulations and greetings, the Repsol rider attended the media, looking very happy to be back.

After three weeks on tour in Asia and Oceania, and with the goal for the season accomplished, Marc Márquez received a warm welcome in Barcelona worthy of a double World Champion. The celebrations do not end there, as the Repsol rider, with his brother Álex —Spanish Moto3 Champion— will have an event held in his honour in Cervera on Friday.
