Much to learn for Rookie Guevara as he starts his first full season with 21st place at Qatar
The first Grand Prix of the season was a steep learning curve for Spanish youngster Juanfran Guevara who had to discover the new circuit and started the race for 22nd on the grid.
He got off the line well and steadily improved his laptimes. Towards the end of the race he found a good feeling with his new Honda and eventually crossed the line in 21st position.
Alain Bronec, Team Owner: “Juanfran just experienced his first Grand Prix outside of Spain and he had a lot to learn here. Despite electrical problems in practice he made good progress throughout the weekend. Looking at the performance he showed some good potential and he has regained confidence on the bike. With the return of a good feeling the next Grand Prix in the United States should be interesting, especially as everyone is in the same situation as we ride there for the first time.”
