Espargaró brothers, Pol & Aleix, record music video in Barcelona
Three days after the season-opening race weekend of 2013 and the Espargaró brothers travelled to their local Circuit de Catalunya. This was no race event, but a making of the video for ‘Racing for a Dream’ – a song, put together by Rock Romeo and dedicated to the siblings by their partisan fans, dubbed ‘The Espargarins’.
Called to the circuit first thing in the morning, Aleix and Pol met members of the Rock Romeo band as well as a large group of fans. The song is tipped to become a catchy soundtrack for both riders’ journeys in the World Championship.
Those making up Rock Romeo – Carlos Ringo Adalid, Jordi Cubino and Marc Martín – are not only professional musicians but also happen to be fans of the riders, and so a collaboration of some sort seemed inevitable. Filming took place at various locations around the Montmeló-based race track, ending late in the afternoon as Aleix and Pol quite literally ran rings around the band while mounted on motorcycles.
The ‘Racing for a Dream’ video clip, produced by The Cast BCN, will be released on Tuesday 30th April and made available across a range of music download platforms.
