Following the exotic start to the season in Qatar, the MotoGP World Championship heads to round two: The Grand Prix of The Americas ─ a track to which Alex Rins and Alex Marquez will strive to adapt as quickly as possible.

The race will be held at the Circuit of The Americas, near Austin, Texas, in the American South, and the Repsol riders go there after claiming third and fourth place in MotoGP ─through Marc Marquez and Dani Pedrosa─ and in the Moto3 class ─courtesy of Alex Rins and Alex Marquez─ in the season opener.

The action begins on Friday with the first free practice sessions, will continue on Saturday with the fight for pole and conclude on Sunday with the second race of the year.

Alex Rins
“We are highly motivated heading to Austin, after the good performance we had in Qatar. With it being a new circuit, we will have to use the same strategy that we used last year when he did not know the tracks. What we have seen is that it is a very long layout and very hard, with many ups and downs and chicanes. We are eager to do a good job there.”

Alex Marquez
“Austin is a new track for everyone. We arrive there off a good weekend in Qatar, at what was a new circuit for me. We’ll try and keep going in the same direction, learning step-by-step as we did in Qatar. Also, my brother has told me some things about the track and I have studied it on the Xbox. Now it’s time to get to Texas and learn the entire layout, with all its slopes, on the bike.”
