Moncayo rides lonely race to 24th but happy about pace and improvements
For Argiñano & Ginés Racing Team it’s been a difficult weekend in Jerez. Practice and qualifying didn’t go well, but in the race both riders showed what was expected of them and never gave up.
With sunny skies and very warm temperatures it’s been a historic weekend at Jerez, with 111.259 spectators coming to Jerez to see the races. Alberto Moncayo lost touch with the group early and rode a lonely race to 24th, but with a good pace.
Alberto Moncayo #17 (24º) “We didn’t finish the race how I would have liked, but there are positive points, because I could finish with a decent pace, much better than what we’ve imagined on Friday. I’m still struggling in the first few laps, I have to work on that. I tried to stick with Cortese, but being a bit nervous I missed a gear and lost him. I’m happy with the rest, with the bike, because I rode more comfortably. And many thanks to the team for all the help and support.”
