After her victory in the second round of the CEV Repsol, Maria Herrera was featured in interviews and reports from several media. Her triumph has highlighted the work and dedication of other riders, some other women among them, who fight to find their place in the competitive world of top-level racing.

Maria Herrera is not alone in a paddock where men prevail, but where more and more women stand. The 16-year-old rider from Toledo has the support of her family, her team and her sponsors, as well as with that of other sportswomen that dream with achieving the same goal at the circuits.

As Maria, Montse Costa, Sara Sanchez and former World Championship rider Elena Rosell have found in the national Championship a chance to show their talent and ability.

With her victory last Sunday, Maria crossed another frontier and showed that women can also be fast and lead. With their work and sacrifice, the four riders have found in the CEV Repsol the best environment to fight for a chance to make their dreams come true. The CEV Repsol is the platform where riders such as Dani Pedrosa and Marc Marquez, now MotoGP leaders, competed.

Maria Herrera is racing in this Championship with the support of Escuela Monlau Competición, which has a collaboration agreement with Repsol that allows it to encourage and support the training of future motorsport professionals, such as engineers, mechanics and riders.
