Rain limits track time for Bautista on first day of testing at Motorland Aragon
The first day of testing at the Motorland Circuit in Aragón proved to be less than productive for the MotoGP riders today, due to adverse weather conditions. The three morning runs at the Spanish track were used to prepare the wet setup for the bikes and then any attempts to string laps together in the afternoon were curtailed by a heavy rainstorm. Go&Fun Gresini Honda hope for better conditions tomorrow in the second day of the test, for which the weather forecast is for a much more clement backdrop to the action.
Alvaro Bautista “To be honest, on this first day of testing in Alcaniz we have achieved practically nothing. We made three runs in the morning, but didn’t get anything good out of it, because whilst we tuned the setup for the wet, the track started to dry out. That left us in limbo, practically forced to stay in the garage rather than do any riding whilst we waited. In the afternoon we attempted a few laps before the rain fell heavily and we were soon back in the garage again. The only thing we can do is hope for better weather tomorrow.”
