Barbera very satisfied with 11th at Sachsenring and competitiveness in CRT class
It was a positive Sunday for the Avintia Blusens team with a good performance from Héctor Barbera and the comeback from Hiroshi Aoyama. Héctor finished in the points with 11th position and the second CRT rider, in a great race where he made up places bit by bit after starting out a little behind at the beginning. He constantly improved throughout the race, leaving rivals like Edwards, Corti and Petrucci behind, passing De Puniet the Ducati of Pirro. The Avintia Blusens rider had a good fight with them and surpassed the French Aspar rider and crossed the finish line only 0.7 seconds behind Pirro on the Ducati. Without a doubt a good result, also given the difference to the Aprilia CRT bikes.
8 Héctor Barberá (11º, +47.824): “Aside from yesterday’s crash we’ve been constantly improving during the weekend and today I definitely felt very good. In the first corner I lost some positions and then it took me a while to pick up the pace, because we made a modification on the front and once I got used to it some laps had passed. We didn’t know how it would work out, but fortunately we made the right decision. Physicially I didn’t have any problems with the injuries from the crashes and I could focus on giving my best. I’m happy, because although we usually have a CRT in front of us, I can see the difference between one bike and the other and the worth the results have that we get with our bike.”
