The Moto3 World Championship continues this weekend with a return to Europe, at Brno in the Czech Republic.

This Grand Prix will be the first of four races held in the continent, before a three-round visit to Asia. The Red Bull KTM Ajo team come into this race with Luis Salom leading the Moto3 overall standings –despite injuring his left foot last weekend– and Arthur Sissis and Zulfahmi Khairuddin satisfied with the work done carried out the summer break.

After nine Grands Prix, Luis Salom heads to Brno in the lead of the Moto3 class with 183 points. He holds an advantage of 9 points over rival Maverick Viñales and, even though he suffered a severe sprain to his left foot which forced him to ride under the influence of painkilling injections at Indianapolis, he will attempt to get back on the podium this weekend. He has placed on the rostrum eighth times this season and did so last year at Brno with second place.

Luis Salom
“We are trying to work hard and take care of my left foot in order to come into this weekend in the best possible condition. I am still hurting, but I hope that this gradually improves. I know that I will not be at 100%, but we will try to be as strong as possible on Sunday. I like Brno and have always gone well there, but it will be difficult this time out with this handicap.”
