The sky looked like rain when the race started in the Moto2 category in which most of the teams were paying attention to the weather, although the track was completely dry. The Blusens Avintia riders started a little far back after a qualifying session in which both Elías and Rivas finished further back than desired by both of them.

Toni Elias BrnoToday Elías, who had not been able to move up positions at the start, was not as fast as he would have liked at the beginning of the race due to the lack of grip on the rear tyre. Afterwards he kept fighting hard with a big group of riders that prevented him from moving up with the wanted pace but that allowed him to be in points positions, finally ending in fifteenth place.

Good race for Dani Rivas, who finished his first GP with Blusens Avintia in twenty-second position without making mistakes and assimilating the way to get better step by step.

Dani did a good start riding with a good pace in a group that allowed him to measure the battles of this class up and, without a doubt, to get a good dose of experience.

24 Toni Elías (15th, +24.427): “In the first part of the race it has been very difficult. I was very slow due to the lack of grip on the rear wheel and I have even lost positions. This morning we have made some changes for the race and they have not worked as we had expected. Anyway, as the laps went by, just like it has happened on other occasions, we have been improving and I have been able to catch up with the group that had overtaken me at the beginning and I have finished achieving a point. Scoring a point is good but it is not much for us. We are on the way and I hope we will get more soon”.

27 Dani Rivas (22nd, +49.056): “I am happy because I have finished my first race with Blusens Avintia without incidents and that is good. I have started so far back and, although I have begun well, it has been very difficult to be in the group. When I accelerated, I lost time because it slid quite a lot but sometimes when I braked, I made up a little bit of time. Anyway, it has been very positive because it has to be kept in mind that all was new for me and that the level is very high. I am happy and I hope to continue making progress”.
