Aspar Team launch partnership with Xkuty
The Aspar Team chose the Silverstone weekend to launch a new partnership with a revolutionary electric scooter brand. The presentation event, held at the team’s hospitality centre in the Silverstone paddock included a presentation and videos about the scooters as well as on-the-spot ‘test rides’ for anyone who wanted one. Takers included Aspar riders Aleix Espargaro, Randy de Puniet and even team boss Jorge Martinez himself.
The Xkuty One, developed by Electric Mobility Company, will be the support vehicle forAspar Team riders at the World Motorcycle Championship.
According to its makers, Xkuty born from the need to generate a change of habits in the short transport distance. One goal was going to develop an accessible alternative – to provide intuitive and easy transport for the traditional urban environment. A vehicle ” that emphasized feelings, establishing a relationship with the user, which would stand midway between the functional and emotional,” said Carlos Felipe , CEO of Xkuty .
The Xkuty One also has full integration with the iPhone through an exclusive application. Through it, the user is able to control parameters such as the maximum speed limit, or even the power curve, and choosing a smooth acceleration an ECO mode – something which helps save the battery for example – it can also allow for different riding styles and also integrates to provide security systems for the bike.
Xkuty philosophy is founded on values such as technology, design, efficiency, sustainability, cleanliness and respect for the environment. Beyond integration with iPhone, Xkuty is notable for its electric motor factors such as noise, light weight, aesthetic ‘customizable’ features and its range of up to 100 km.
The first impressions of Jorge Martínez, owner of the Aspar Team, are that Xkuty is terrific. “It’s like a bike, because it offers similar feelings, but with the difference that has the motor built into the rear wheel. I like that it’s easy to handle, its position is comfortable and although it seems little it has plenty of power. It’s great for short trips and quick too.”
The Aspar Team will have six Xkuty as support vehicles to the end of the season including the Grands Prix to be held in San Marino, Aragon and Valencia, among others.
