Luis Salom looking to repeat last year’s victorious form at Aragon
The Aragon Grand Prix this weekend will be the third of the four races held on Spanish soil this season. Red Bull KTM Ajo rider Luis Salom rides at home, defending a 19-point lead in the overall standings. Teammates Zulfahmi Khairuddin and Arthur Sissis will also be looking for good performances at a circuit —MotorLand Aragon— which is particularly well suited to the characteristics of the KTM Moto3 bike.
The most recent winner of the Aragon Grand Prix was Luis Salom, who won last year after a thrilling finale. The Spanish Red Bull KTM Ajo rider will try to repeat the performance at the MotorLand circuit, in order to return to the podium after missing the cut at Misano. With five rounds still remaining, the young Majorcan rider knows that each GP takes him closer to the title in Moto3.
Luis Salom
“I’m happy, because after a few weeks without being able to, these past few days I have been doing fitness training. No running, because my foot still hurts, but I am off the crutches.
I’m a little wary, because it seems that this weekend the weather could give us some surprises —as happened last year. The win last year came after a long and hard fight, and I am sure that on Sunday we will also have a very difficult race.
MotorLand Aragon is a circuit I like a lot, with very fast corners. We will try improve by taking things day-by-day.”
