This weekend in Malaysia will see the first of the three back-to-back GPs on the continents of Asia and Oceania, which will play a major part in the Moto3 title decision this season.

One of the top candidates for the title is Team Calvo’s own Maverick Viñales, who is currently 12 points behind the leader Salom and 3 behind Alex Rins. All riders are on a KTM bike.

Whoever comes away with the most points from these next three rounds, will be the favourite to lift the trophy in Valencia. Because one thing seems certain, the title race is going to go down to the very last race of the season at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo.

For Ana Carrasco Sepang will not be an easy circuit. On top of being a very technical track, the high temperatures and the humidity always make things a lot harder for the newbies. But the Team Calvo rider is very motivated after practically touching the points in Aragón, and in Malaysia she will give her all.

I’m very much looking forward to getting started and giving it my best to shorten the points gap to the leader, and if I can do that, hopefully I can go into Valencia with a slight points advantage. Sepang is hard because of the heat, but I like the track, and I believe I can also do well at Phillip Island and Motegi. We have to work hard to have a good setup that allows us to win the race. There are four more races to go and the victories will decide the championship. Let’s see if we have more luck than in Motorland.

This weekend could be one of the most difficult of the year, I’ve been told the circuit is very wide and to find the ideal race line is difficult. On top of that it’s always very hot and it could be a tough race. But I won’t know until I get on the bike and have a go at the track myself. After the Aragón weekend, where everything went so well until the last lap of the race, I am full of enthusiasm and very motivated. I’ll work my hardest together with the team to do well and achieve a good result.

We’re entereing the finish straight of the championship and in the last race we could see that Maverick is very strong. In Aragón we couldn’t clinch the victory due to bad luck, but he’s in the best form of the season and he has to enjoy it and make the most of it. Also, in Sepang he already tasted victory and it’s very important to take points off both Salom and Rins. Anita has just had the best weekend of her season so far, it gave her moral a real boost, and even though Sepang is a difficult circuit, I’m sure she’ll do well.
